Count boxes and cartons from a photo

Yes — photograph the visible face of the stack and the AI counts every carton it can see, marking each one. For full pallets, count each visible side and use the tally sheet to combine them into one total.

Auto handles a uniform pallet automatically, but on a mixed pallet switch to Similar items and mark 1-3 examples of the carton size you're auditing so the AI counts only that size, ignoring the rest — then repeat with new examples for each carton type. Detect objects works better when cartons are clearly separated rather than stacked tight against each other.

Raise the Sensitivity slider so partially-hidden or shadowed cartons at the back of a pallet get picked up. If the count is inflated by pallet wrap, shipping labels or stray debris being read as boxes, raise Ignore small detections to filter that clutter out; this slider is hidden in Similar items mode since exemplar marking handles that instead.

Switch the Result overlay to Dots only so every counted carton gets a visible marker you can cross-check against the photo, or use Heatmap only to spot dense clusters on a large pallet at a glance. Checking the overlay against the physical stack takes seconds and catches misses before they become a goods-in discrepancy.

Add each pallet or stack photo's count to the Tally sheet with a label, and it keeps a running grand total across every row, exportable as CSV. For a full truck or warehouse cycle count, switch to Bulk audit mode, upload every stack photo at once, and let it count each one and populate the tally automatically — then save the finished audit to your account and share it with your goods-in team.

No — Bulk audit always counts with the Auto engine and only your Sensitivity value; it doesn't carry over a Similar items/Detect objects choice or any example cartons you marked. For a pallet that needs a specific mode or exemplars, count it in the single-photo view instead.

Yes — Saved stock-takes under your account lists every audit you've saved. Use 'Open in tally' to load one back into the Tally sheet for more counting, or delete it once the delivery or cycle count is closed out.

Yes — the single-photo upload screen (not Bulk audit) shows a 'Take a photo' button on phones that opens your device's rear camera directly, so you can photograph the pallet or stack on the spot at goods-in. Bulk audit doesn't show this button since it's built for uploading multiple existing photos in one go.

Yes — each row in the Tally sheet has an editable Count field alongside the editable label, so you can type in the corrected number after comparing the result overlay to the physical stack. That's quicker than reshooting the photo just to fix one row of the audit.
