Wskazówki dla dokładnego zliczania
• Use an even, well-lit photo with the logs fully in frame
• Mark 1–3 example logs when other items share the photo
• Dots and heatmap show what was counted — verify at a glance
About the Log Counter
The log counter uses an AI similar-item engine built for dense scenes where logs touch or overlap — the case where counting by hand is slow and error-prone. Mark one to three example logs and it counts exactly that item, marking every counted one on the image so you can verify the total. Built for timber yards, sawmills and forestry teams.
Jak to działa
1. Photograph your logs
2. AI counts them — optionally mark 1–3 example logs
3. Verify with the dots and heatmap on the image
4. Add to the tally sheet and export your count as CSV
Idealne do
• Timber truck-load verification
• Sawmill and yard inventories
• Forestry harvest tallies
• Firewood stock counts

Shoot the cut ends straight-on, filling the frame with the pile face. The AI counts each visible log end and marks it with a dot — piles of hundreds count in a few seconds.
usageMark 1–3 example logs by dragging a box around them and the AI counts exactly that item, ignoring everything else in the frame. Every counted item gets a dot on the image so you can verify the total at a glance.
usageYes — the density engine counts repeated round ends across a wide size range in the same photo. If the pile mixes very different stock you want counted separately, mark examples of one type at a time and keep a tally row per type.
qualityYes — counting photos is free with no signup for everyday use. Photos are uploaded only to process and are deleted automatically afterwards; we never keep or share them.
privacySimilar items runs a density engine ideal for a pile of round log ends of roughly the same species and cut, which is the typical timber-yard photo. Distinct objects switches to object detection so a mixed load — different diameters, species, or logs alongside other stacked timber — can be told apart. Auto is a safe default that chooses between the two depending on the photo.
usageSensitivity (Low to High) controls how confident the AI must be before marking a log end. Raise it toward High if darker bark or shadowed ends near the edge of the pile are being missed; lower it toward Low if bark texture, knots or cracks within a single log end are being split into extra counts. Shooting the pile face straight-on in flat light reduces how much you need to adjust it.
technicalResult overlay sets how logs are marked on the photo — Dots + heatmap for a per-log dot plus a density map, Dots only for a cleaner annotated image for a haulage record, Heatmap only to see where the pile is densest. Ignore small detections raises the minimum size counted, so small branch stubs, offcuts or gaps between logs at the pile's edge aren't picked up as extra logs.
featuresYes — switch Single photo to Bulk audit to upload a photo of every truck load or yard stack at once. Each is counted using your current Sensitivity setting, a combined grand total is shown, and every stack's count feeds automatically into the tally sheet, saving a re-count per delivery.
featuresAdd each stack's count to the tally sheet as you photograph it, labelling rows like "Stack B — pine", then export the full inventory as a CSV or a branded PDF report for the mill or haulier. Sign in to save the stock-take to your account and share a read-only link with the yard team.
featuresSet Counting mode to Distinct objects so the range of diameters doesn't get merged or split incorrectly, keep Sensitivity moderate to High if some ends are in shadow at the back of the load, and raise Ignore small detections a little to drop stray bark and offcuts from the total. Mark examples of one size class at a time if you need a per-diameter breakdown in the tally sheet.
tipsNo — toggling from Single photo to Bulk audit so you can queue a photo of every truckload or yard stack at once is a Premium feature; the free plan counts one photo at a time, with each result added to the tally sheet manually. Counting mode, Sensitivity, marking examples and single-photo counting all remain free.
pricingYes — the tally sheet's CSV export is free for yard and haulage records, but generating the branded PDF stock-take report and using "Copy team link" to share a saved session with the mill or haulier both require a Premium plan, prompting an upgrade if tried on the free plan. Saving a stock-take to your account remains free, though free accounts can only keep a limited number of saved sessions.
pricingTap Mark example items, drag a box around 1-3 log ends that represent the size or species you want counted, then tap Done marking. Each marked box can be removed individually with its Remove example button, and Clear examples resets the picker so you can re-mark a different diameter class or species on the same photo before adding each pass to the tally.
usageHow Log Counter helps you get it done
Real problems it solves every day — for businesses, creators, and everyday tasks. Find the use case that fits you and start in seconds.
Timber Truck Delivery Verification
Photograph the truck's log ends straight-on at drop-off and count them against the delivery docket in seconds, catching a short load before it's signed for.
Sawmill Intake Yard Audits
Run a periodic count across every stack in the intake yard with Bulk audit, rolling every stack's total into one grand total for a mill's weekly inventory reconciliation.
Firewood Supplier Stock Counts
Count cut and stacked firewood before advertising a load for sale, using Similar items mode to get an exact tally so listings quote a real count rather than an estimate.
Forestry Harvest Tally by Diameter Class
Mark examples of one diameter class at a time with the exemplar tool and log each pass as its own tally row, building a per-size breakdown of a harvest instead of one mixed total.
Insurance and Storm-Damage Timber Records
Count and photograph downed or salvaged timber after a storm or harvest dispute, keeping the AI-marked image as a dated, verifiable count for insurance or contract claims.
Personal Firewood Stockpile Counting for Winter Prep
Count your own stacked firewood before winter to know how many logs you have on hand and whether you need to order more, using Similar items mode on a home wood stack rather than a commercial timber-yard load.
