A PNG lookup table cannot join your dataset until its fields are text

Keep blank fields aligned when preparing PNG data
- Upload the full-resolution PNG and keep the table’s header row in view.
- Inspect empty cells and confirm that nearby values have not shifted left or right.
- Download CSV and explicitly configure text columns for codes in the destination import.

- It can attempt to preserve the visible structure, but blank fields need review. Compare adjacent values and column counts before downloading.
- Does resizing a small PNG improve CSV recognition?
- Enlarging the same pixels cannot restore missing detail. Obtain a larger original or make a new capture with readable text where possible.
- Will the CSV contain the PNG’s colors or cell borders?
- No. CSV represents field values. Choose Excel if you need a worksheet for subsequent formatting, and retain the image as a visual reference.
- Why does a code change after I open the CSV?
- Spreadsheet applications may infer a number or date from a text field. Import identifier columns as text and compare them with the PNG.
