Amber flags any cell the OCR was 80% confident or less about, pointing you straight at the numbers most likely to need a second look — especially useful on financial statements where a misread digit matters. The highlight disappears the moment you edit that cell.

Yes — the Reset button discards every manual edit and restores the table exactly as it was first extracted, without needing to re-upload the PDF. That's useful if a correction pass introduces a new mistake and you'd rather start clean.

The editable grid preview only shows up when the workbook resolves to a single sheet; once multiple tables or sheets are detected, the tool skips the inline review and hands you a straight 'ready to download' card instead, since there's no single sheet to preview. Open the downloaded .xlsx in Excel or Google Sheets to check each tab, or split the source PDF's pages with PDF Split first if you want the verify-grid step for one table at a time.

You can use PDF to Excel without creating an account. Free signed-in accounts get a daily allowance of extractions and see a small usage meter once they're close to it, since table extraction runs OCR behind the scenes — Premium removes that cap entirely.

Scan the extracted rows for the classic OCR slips — a quantity merged with a price, a decimal dropped from a total, a stray footer line read in as data — before trusting the numbers. Use Add row to restore any invoice line the detector missed, Delete row to remove junk rows, and Reset if you want to back out a correction pass entirely. Only download once the grid matches the invoice, so the frozen-header, auto-width .xlsx you import is already clean.
