Upload the PDF, type a stylised signature, draw one with your mouse or finger, or upload a transparent PNG of your scanned signature. Drag it onto the signature field, add initials in the margins, then download a signed PDF that opens cleanly in every reader.
usageIn most jurisdictions yes — the US ESIGN Act, EU eIDAS, UK Electronic Communications Act and India IT Act all recognise simple electronic signatures for routine contracts (employment offers, NDAs, freelance agreements, invoices). High-value transactions may require qualified e-signatures.
officialYes. Add signature fields for each party, save the partially-signed PDF, send it to the next signer and have them add their signature in their assigned slot. The audit trail (who signed when) is embedded in the PDF metadata.
featuresDrop a signature, initials and date stamp from the toolbar onto any page. The date stamp uses today's date by default but can be overridden. Flatten the PDF on download so recipients cannot modify the signature placement.
featuresPage previews render locally, but signing itself happens on our secure server: your document and signature image are uploaded over HTTPS, retained temporarily to stamp and deliver the PDF, then removed under our Security policy. We never sell them or use them to train models. That works well for everyday paperwork like employment contracts and NDAs; if your policy requires a signer that never uploads the file at all, use an offline desktop PDF tool instead.
privacyYes. Toggle "Flatten and lock on download" and signatures, initials and the date stamp are baked into the page. Combined with the optional password-protect step, the document becomes tamper-evident.
featuresThis tool adds an electronic signature — a visible image of your drawn, typed or uploaded signature stamped onto the page — which is legally valid for everyday agreements like NDAs, offers and invoices. It does not create a certificate-based digital signature (the cryptographic kind Acrobat verifies against a .p12 / PKI certificate). For routine documents an electronic signature is what you need; for paperwork that must be cryptographically tamper-verifiable, use a certificate-based signing service.
technicalThis tool focuses on signatures, initials, dates and stamps that you place anywhere on the page. If your PDF has interactive form fields — checkboxes, text inputs, dropdowns — to complete, use our Fill PDF Form tool to fill them first, then return here to add your signature.
featuresYes — switch to the Text tab and type your paragraph, then pick a font family (Sans, Serif, Mono or Handwritten), a text color, and drag the size slider to set how large it renders on the page. Bold and italic toggle buttons next to the size slider let you emphasize the text without leaving the tool.
featuresIn the Signature tab, choose the Type mode, enter your name, then pick from eight cursive font styles — Caveat, Dancing Script, Great Vibes, Sacramento, Allura, Pacifico, Homemade Apple or Kalam — shown as live previews of your own name. Each renders a different handwriting look, so you can match the tone of the document you're signing.
usageOpen the Date tab, pick a day with the date field or tap Today for the current date, then choose a format from the dropdown — MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD, Month DD, YYYY, or DD Month YYYY. The live preview under the format picker shows exactly how the stamped date will look before you place it, and you can still adjust its font, color and size like the text tool.
featuresYes — in the Stamp tab, choose Create mode and enter your company name plus a short line like APPROVED, PAID or DRAFT; the tool generates a circular stamp graphic in the color you pick with the color field. If you already have a real company stamp image, switch to Upload mode instead and use that PNG or JPG directly.
featuresUse the Signature tab (Type mode with a cursive font, or Draw if you prefer your real signature) to place your name, then switch to the Date tab and pick a format like Month DD, YYYY with Today selected for a professional-looking date stamp. Finally, add a Stamp in Create mode reading APPROVED in your brand color to mark the document reviewed — all three can be dragged and resized independently on the same page before you download.
tipsIn the Signature tab, choose Draw mode and sign directly on the canvas with your mouse, trackpad or a finger/stylus on touchscreens. If it doesn't come out right, tap Clear underneath the canvas to wipe it and try again — the tool automatically trims the transparent border around your ink so the signature drops onto the page at the right size.
usageDrag anywhere on a placed item to move it, or drag the small handle at its corner to resize it — text and date items automatically scale their font size as you resize. On a touchscreen you can also pinch with two fingers to resize and reposition in one gesture, and pressing Delete or Backspace removes whichever item is currently selected.
featuresYes. Use the Prev/Next arrows or the page thumbnail strip to jump between pages — each thumbnail shows a small badge with how many items you've already placed on it. The Placed signatures list in the Pages panel lets you tap any item to jump straight back to its page and select it, or delete it from there.
featuresOnce your PDF finishes rendering, a one-time popup asks for your full name (pre-filled if you're signed in) and, when you confirm, instantly builds a typed cursive signature from it and switches you to the Signature tool so you can tap the page to place it immediately. Tap Skip if you'd rather draw your signature or upload an image instead.
usageSwitch to the Stamp tab, then either use Create mode to type your company name and a short line of text like APPROVED, PAID or DRAFT and pick a color — the tool renders it as a circular stamp graphic on the spot — or switch to Upload mode to drop in an existing PNG or JPEG of your company's real rubber stamp. Once it's rendered or uploaded, tap Add to page (or tap anywhere on the document) to place it just like a signature.
featuresYes — the Text tab is separate from Signature, Date and Stamp and lets you type a full paragraph (for example a certification statement or a note to the recipient) into a textarea. You can pick one of four fonts (Sans, Serif, Mono or Handwritten), set a color with the color picker, adjust size with the 1-6% slider, and toggle Bold or Italic before placing it on the page.
featuresYes — Pixoate supports batch and bulk processing. Switch to Batch mode, add up to 60 PDFs on Premium or 200 on Pro, set your options once, and every PDF is processed with the same settings before you download a single ZIP. Bulk processing is a Premium feature; the output uses the same quality and settings as single mode.
featuresYes — with bulk processing you configure the settings a single time and they apply to every item in the batch — up to 60 PDFs on Premium or 200 on Pro. There is no need to repeat the setup per item, and Temporary uploaded and generated files are processed securely and deleted automatically.
usageAlmost always one of three things. The file is over the 11 MB free upload limit — Premium takes 50 MB and Pro 120 MB. The format is not one this tool accepts, so check the list shown on the upload panel. Or the file is not really the format its name says: renaming a file does not change what is inside it, and that is the reason a valid-looking PDF gets refused.
troubleshootingPage content is preserved, but anything that depended on the original file being interactive can behave differently — form fields, layers and annotations may be flattened into the page depending on the operation you ran. If you need the fields to stay fillable, do the flattening step last. Keep the untouched original until you have checked the output end to end.
troubleshootingNo. You can run Sign PDF and download the free result without an account, and it carries no watermark. Premium is what you buy when the limits start to bite: up to 60 files in one batch, larger uploads, no daily cap, and the original-resolution result. Nothing is revealed at the download step that was not visible before you started.
pricingNo — Sign PDF runs in the browser on desktop and phone. There is nothing to install, no trial to start, and no license to buy before you can see whether it does what you need. Try it on the file you are actually stuck with rather than a sample.
