Default is the strongest all-round table reader — it detects the table's structure as well as its text — so leave it selected for most receipts and invoices. Table AI (beta) is a newer experimental engine worth trying if Default misreads a tricky layout with merged headers. Engine 1 and Engine 2 are faster general-purpose OCR passes that skip dedicated table-structure detection, so they suit simple grids better than complex financial statements.

Open the Settings panel and use the Language picker to choose the language of the text inside your table (English is the default). Picking the right language improves recognition of accented letters, non-Latin scripts and locale-specific currency symbols, then click Re-run conversion to regenerate the spreadsheet with the new setting.

Yes — after conversion, the extracted table appears in an editable grid with low-confidence cells highlighted so you can spot likely OCR errors at a glance. Click any cell to correct it, or use Reset to restore the original OCR output; only your edited version is what gets written into the downloaded .xlsx.
