How it works

Perspective Face Correction cross-checks a 478-point face mesh against independently detected eyes, nose, and mouth. It compares three separate pose cues—the nose offset, projected cheek widths, and mesh cheek depth—and proceeds only when they agree on a mild turn. One continuous horizontal source warp then reduces that foreshortening inside the verified face oval. Sampling stays within existing facial pixels and fades to zero before the oval boundary, so hair, clothing, background, and the facial outline remain unchanged. It never generates the hidden side of a profile, and an already front-facing face remains pixel-exact.

Processing

Perspective Face Correction uses an AI action. Any separate allowance is shown before this effect starts processing.

Best for

sharp portraits with the full face visible and only a mild left or right turn.

Less suited to: strong profiles, clipped face outlines, covered cheeks, conflicting pose cues, motion blur, and group photos with very small faces.

Ways to use Perspective Face Correction

  • Reduce subtle phone-camera or pose foreshortening without rebuilding facial identity.
  • Correct a mild face turn while preserving original eyes, skin texture, beard, makeup, expression, hair, clothing, and background.
  • Leave already front-facing faces unchanged and assess each clear face independently in a group.

Perspective Face Correction questions

Does Perspective Face Correction create a new front-facing face?
No. It repositions only existing pixels inside a verified face oval. It does not synthesize an unseen eye, cheek, ear, hair, or background, so strong profiles are refused instead of hallucinated.
How is this different from Face Symmetry?
Face Symmetry balances small independent feature offsets on a nearly frontal face. Perspective Face Correction uses three agreeing pose cues to apply one coherent facial-plane warp for mild turn-related foreshortening; it leaves a front-facing face pixel-exact.
