About the Skin Smooth effect

Skin Smooth evens out small patches of uneven tone on the forehead and both cheeks. It is not a whole-face blur and it does not redraw anyone. Each face is checked on its own: its full shape is mapped, skin is separated from hair, beard, clothing and background, and the eyes, brows, nose and lips are protected before anything changes. Only three bounded areas are touched, and the correction is measured against that one face alone, so nothing nearby can bleed into it. Pores, fine detail, wrinkles, natural skin colour and age are all kept — the result still looks like skin. Everything else is copied straight into a lossless PNG. In a group photo every face is handled separately, and any face that is turned away, incomplete, covered, very small or already smooth is left unchanged rather than redrawn.
