Crop
- Left (px)Number input
- Horizontal starting point of the crop, measured in pixels from the GIF's left edge; it can go up to one pixel less than the GIF's width, and increasing it trims more off the left side.
- Top (px)Number input
- Vertical starting point of the crop, measured in pixels from the GIF's top edge; it can go up to one pixel less than the GIF's height, and increasing it trims more off the top.
- Width (px)Number input
- Width of the kept region in pixels, capped at the GIF's own width; together with Left it must stay inside the original frame, and the same cut is applied to every frame of the animation.
- Height (px)Number input
- Height of the kept region in pixels, capped at the GIF's own height; together with Top it must stay inside the original frame, and the live preview refreshes shortly after you change a value.

Upload the GIF and set the crop region with left, top, width and height values, measured in pixels from the top-left corner of the frame. The tool starts you with a centered region you can adjust, applies the identical cut to every frame, and replays the cropped animation in the preview so you can check it before downloading.
generalYes. All frames are cropped in a single pass and the loop count plus per-frame delays are preserved, so the cropped GIF animates exactly like the original — it just shows the region you selected. Nothing drifts or jumps between frames because the same coordinates are used on every one.
technicalUsually, yes. Cropping removes pixels from every frame, so cutting away borders, letterboxing or dead space around the subject reduces the file size roughly in proportion to the area removed. For the biggest savings, crop first and then run the result through the GIF compressor.
technicalThe tool checks your values against the GIF's actual dimensions and warns you inline if the region would fall outside the frame, so an invalid crop is never submitted. Use the reset button to snap back to the full frame and start over at any time.
generalNo. Your GIF is processed on our secure servers over HTTPS and removed under our Security policy. We do not sell your files or share them with third parties — the cropped result stays available just long enough for you to download it.
privacyYes — Pixoate supports batch and bulk processing. Switch to Batch mode, add up to 60 GIFs on Premium or 200 on Pro, set your options once, and every GIF is processed with the same settings before you download a single ZIP. Bulk processing is a Premium feature; the output uses the same quality and settings as single mode.
featuresYes — with bulk processing you configure the settings a single time and they apply to every item in the batch — up to 60 GIFs on Premium or 200 on Pro. There is no need to repeat the setup per item, and Temporary uploaded and generated files are processed securely and deleted automatically.
usageAlmost always one of three things. The file is over the 11 MB free upload limit — Premium takes 50 MB and Pro 120 MB. The format is not one this tool accepts, so check the list shown on the upload panel. Or the file is not really the format its name says: renaming a file does not change what is inside it, and that is the reason a valid-looking image gets refused.
troubleshootingCropping, rotating, resizing and framing keep your original pixels — quality loss almost always comes from somewhere else. The two usual causes are enlarging a small image past the resolution it actually has, and re-saving a JPG over and over, because each save throws away a little more. Start from the largest original you still have, and export PNG when the image contains text, screenshots or flat color.
troubleshootingGIF Cropper supports free standard use within the published processing allowances. Free downloads are clean — no watermark. No signup is required for standard tool use. Photo effects and AI edits have a web-size limit on Free, with the original-resolution result available through Premium or one credit. Crop, resize, rotate, compress and convert stay full size. Premium supports batches of up to 60 files, with the applicable plan limits shown before processing.
pricingNo — GIF Cropper runs in the browser on desktop and phone. There is nothing to install, no trial to start, and no license to buy before you can see whether it does what you need. Try it on the file you are actually stuck with rather than a sample.
troubleshootingHow GIF Cropper helps you get it done
Real problems it solves every day — for businesses, creators, and everyday tasks. Find the use case that fits you and start.
Remove borders and letterboxing
Screen recordings and re-shared GIFs often carry black bars or window chrome. Crop them away so the animation fills its frame — and the file gets smaller too.
Focus on the action
Cut a GIF down to just the part that matters — a button click in a product demo, a face in a reaction clip — so viewers aren't distracted by the rest of the frame.
Make square crops for avatars and thumbnails
Set an equal width and height to pull a square region out of a widescreen GIF, ready for profile pictures, thumbnails and grid layouts.
Clean up tutorial and demo captures
Crop screen-capture GIFs to the relevant window or panel before dropping them into docs, README files or support articles.
