Open the page on your phone, allow camera access and point the rear camera at distinct, separated items. Every few seconds a detector analyzes a frame and refreshes the total and markers. Review each marker before using the total. No app install is needed.

No. Live frames are analyzed in memory and immediately discarded — nothing is saved to your gallery or to our servers.

Distinct, separated and fully visible items with a clear background. For dense, touching or mixed piles, upload a photo, mark 1–3 examples of the item you want counted, then choose Count; add an example for each different-looking kind.

Drag the Detection sensitivity slider toward "Smaller items" when counting fine parts, pills or small produce that the default setting might merge together, or toward "Larger items" when boxes or bulky products are being split into false extra counts. The slider takes effect on the very next frame, so you can tune it live while watching the count update.

Every live session automatically ends after 10 minutes so an idle phone does not continue using live-processing capacity in the background. This limit is fixed and cannot be changed from the sensitivity slider or any other control, so when it triggers you'll see a 'session paused' notice over the viewfinder. Press Start camera again to immediately begin a fresh 10-minute session and keep counting a longer job in back-to-back stretches.

Almost always one of three things. The file is over the 20 MB free upload limit — Premium takes 50 MB and Pro 120 MB. The format is not one this tool accepts, so check the list shown on the upload panel. Or the file is not really the format its name says: renaming a file does not change what is inside it, and that is the reason a valid-looking image gets refused.

It reports what is genuinely in the file, so a blank or surprising result usually means the data was never there — stripped by the app that last saved it, removed by a platform on upload, or absent from the original. Try the untouched original file straight from the camera or source rather than a copy that has been through a messaging app.

Live Object Counter requires paid access before a camera session starts. Counts are shown live on screen; this tool does not offer a file download.
