Settings information

Every control in PNG to WebP, explained — what it does and when to use it.

Settings

WebP qualitySliderRange: 20–100 · Default: 90
Sets the WebP compression level — higher keeps more detail but makes a bigger file; 60–80 suits most photos, and the slider is disabled while Lossless mode is on.
Lossless modeOn / Off
Keeps every pixel exactly as in the source for a perfect copy — best for logos, graphics and transparency — at the cost of a larger file; turning it on disables the quality slider.

Mode

Single file / BatchDropdown
Switches between converting one file at a time and batch mode, which converts many files with the same settings and downloads them together as a single ZIP.Options: Single fileBatch

Frequently Asked Questions

The quality slider runs from 20 to 100 and defaults to 90. For UI icons and screenshots, 80-90 keeps text and edges crisp; for photographic PNGs, dropping to 70-80 usually shrinks the file noticeably further with barely visible loss.

quality

Turning on Lossless mode disables the quality slider and re-encodes with every pixel preserved exactly — the right choice for logos, flat-color graphics and screenshots with sharp text where any compression artifact would be visible. It still typically beats the original PNG's size even though it's larger than the lossy quality-controlled output.

features

For flat-color icons, logos and screenshots with text, switch Lossless mode on so edges stay perfectly sharp with no banding. For photographic PNGs, leave Lossless off and set the quality slider to 75-85 — you'll get a much smaller file with a difference that's hard to spot at normal viewing sizes.

tips

Yes. WebP supports a full alpha channel just like PNG, so every transparent pixel is preserved exactly regardless of the quality or lossless settings you choose — nothing gets flattened to a solid color.

features

Yes. Batch mode converts up to 60 PNG files with Premium or 200 with Pro using the same quality or lossless settings, then returns one ZIP. You can see one PNG-to-WebP result before signing up, then create a free account to download it clean and continue within the Free plan allowance.

features

Yes — Pixoate supports batch and bulk processing. Switch to Batch mode, add up to 60 files on Premium or 200 on Pro, set your options once, and every file is processed with the same settings before you download a single ZIP. Bulk processing is a Premium feature; the output uses the same quality and settings as single mode.

features

Yes — with bulk processing you configure the settings a single time and they apply to every item in the batch — up to 60 files on Premium or 200 on Pro. There is no need to repeat the setup per item, and Temporary uploaded and generated files are processed securely and deleted automatically.
