Converting an .odd drawing file to JPG

An .odd file here is an OpenDocument drawing saved under a less common extension. Image viewers, phones and websites do not recognize the name, so the file looks broken even though the drawing inside is fine. The converter checks the contents rather than trusting the name: an OpenDocument drawing package is rendered, while some other kind of file that happens to end in .odd is refused with a message that it cannot be opened.

For the JPG, page one of the drawing is drawn at 150 dots per inch on a white page, about 1240 × 1754 pixels for A4. Pictures stored inside the file are included; pictures the drawing merely points to on another computer or website are not, so ask the sender to embed them if something is missing.

If the drawing has more than one page, make a PDF with all of them. For clean lines and small labels, PNG output avoids JPG blur, and when the JPG must fit an upload limit, reduce it to 100 KB.
