Frequently Asked Questions

Upload your image and use the pixelate controls to adjust the intensity. This online image pixelator preserves quality and helps create images for social media, websites, and print with a pixelated effect. Supports JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, SVG formats.

usage

Yes. Use the pixelate controls to select and pixelate specific areas of the image. This is useful for creating images that hide sensitive information or focus on specific elements.

features

We support JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and TIFF formats. The output format will be the same as the input format, preserving quality and transparency.

technical

Pixelation intentionally changes fine detail while keeping the image aspect ratio. Free downloads use the web-size resolution limit; Premium unlocks the original-resolution result.

quality

Yes. Use the pixelate controls to adjust the intensity to the desired level. This is useful for creating high-resolution images for printing.

features

Yes. Uploads are removed under our Security policy and never shared, and you can download the clean web-size pixelated image immediately. Premium unlocks the original-resolution result for confidential client assets and brand images.

privacy

Yes — use auto-detect faces and the tool finds each face in the picture and covers it for you, which is much faster than drawing boxes on a group shot. You can switch between pixelate and blur modes, adjust the strength, remove any detected area you want to keep visible, and then download.

features

Upload the photo, draw a box over the license plate, name, address or any text you want hidden, and choose blur or pixelate. You can add multiple areas in one image and set the strength high enough that the detail cannot be read. Files are processed on secure servers and deleted automatically after processing.

usage

Yes — Pixoate supports batch and bulk processing. Switch to Batch mode, add up to 60 images on Premium or 200 on Pro, set your options once, and every image is processed with the same settings before you download a single ZIP. Bulk processing is a Premium feature; the output uses the same quality and settings as single mode.

features

Yes — with bulk processing you configure the settings a single time and they apply to every item in the batch — up to 60 images on Premium or 200 on Pro. There is no need to repeat the setup per item, and Temporary uploaded and generated files are processed securely and deleted automatically.

usage

Almost always one of three things. The file is over the 11 MB free upload limit — Premium takes 50 MB and Pro 120 MB. The format is not one this tool accepts, so check the list shown on the upload panel. Or the file is not really the format its name says: renaming a file does not change what is inside it, and that is the reason a valid-looking image gets refused.

troubleshooting

Cropping, rotating, resizing and framing keep your original pixels — quality loss almost always comes from somewhere else. The two usual causes are enlarging a small image past the resolution it actually has, and re-saving a JPG over and over, because each save throws away a little more. Start from the largest original you still have, and export PNG when the image contains text, screenshots or flat color.

troubleshooting

Pixelate & Blur Image supports free standard use within the published processing allowances. Free downloads are clean — no watermark. No signup is required for standard tool use. Photo effects and AI edits have a web-size limit on Free, with the original-resolution result available through Premium or one credit. Crop, resize, rotate, compress and convert stay full size. Premium supports batches of up to 60 files, with the applicable plan limits shown before processing.

pricing

No — Pixelate & Blur Image runs in the browser on desktop and phone. There is nothing to install, no trial to start, and no license to buy before you can see whether it does what you need. Try it on the file you are actually stuck with rather than a sample.
