Frequently Asked Questions

No. The PDF download is genuinely free — there is no payment step, no trial signup and no watermark, unlike builders that let you design a resume and then ask for a card (or an auto-renewing subscription) the moment you click download. Your resume is generated on our secure server over HTTPS and deleted automatically afterwards — we never store, share, or sell it — so you can come back and download it again at no cost, within the daily free allowance that Premium removes.

pricing

Build and preview your resume without signup, then create a free account to download the clean PDF. Your personal details are sent over HTTPS only long enough to render the file, then deleted automatically — we never store or share them.

pricing

Pick a template, fill in your contact details, summary, work experience, education, skills and certifications, and the resume re-paginates in real time as you type. Download a print-ready PDF that opens cleanly in Adobe Reader, macOS Preview and any browser.

usage

Yes. The default templates use single-column layouts, standard fonts (Arial, Calibri, Inter, Source Sans), real text (not images) and avoid tables — exactly what Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and Taleo parsers expect for clean keyword extraction.

technical

Choose modern minimalist layouts for tech and product roles, classic single-column layouts for finance and law, creative two-column layouts for design and marketing, and academic CV layouts for research and PhD applications.

features

Yes. Export to PDF for direct application uploads, .docx for recruiters who request Word-editable files, and plain text for ATS-only systems that strip formatting. All three formats are generated from the same source so the content stays consistent.

features

Under 10 years of experience, target a single page. 10–20 years, two pages is fine. Academic CVs and executive resumes can stretch further when the role explicitly asks for full publication or board-history detail.

tips

PDF rendering happens on our secure server over HTTPS — your work history, salary expectations and contact details are sent there only to build the PDF, then deleted automatically afterwards; we never store or share them. Optional account sync is opt-in and uses end-to-end encryption.

privacy

Yes. Upload an existing PDF or DOCX resume and the builder reads your details to pre-fill the form, so you can refresh an old resume without retyping everything, then re-export a clean PDF or Word file.

features

Yes. Save multiple versions in your browser so you can keep a master resume alongside tailored copies for different job applications, then reopen and tweak any of them later.

usage

Yes. The Design tab has an Accent color field (type a hex code or pick a preset swatch) that instantly recolors the header and section-line accents in the live preview across all three templates — match a personal brand color or keep the professional default blue.

features

All three options in the Design tab are web-safe and equally ATS-readable. Sans reads as clean and modern, a safe default for tech and product roles; Serif feels traditional and suits law, finance or academia; Mono gives a technical, engineer-portfolio look. Switching fonts only changes the typeface, not your content or layout.

tips

Spacing controls the vertical density of your resume's layout. Compact tightens line spacing so more content fits on one page — useful if you're just barely spilling onto a second page — while Relaxed opens the layout up for a shorter resume that would otherwise look sparse. Normal is the balanced default.

features

Yes. The Sections tab lets you drag Summary, Experience, Education and Skills into any order using the grip handle, and Add section creates a new custom block with its own title and bullet content that slots into that same reorderable list — perfect for Projects, Certifications, Publications or Volunteering exactly where you want them to appear.

features

Choose the Classic or Minimal template for maximum content density, the Sans font for compact character width, and Compact spacing to tighten line gaps between entries. Combined with trimming Experience to your most recent 3-4 roles, this keeps a long career history readable on a single page.

tips

Yes — drag the grip handle on any Experience or Education entry to reorder it within that list, independent of the Sections tab (which reorders whole blocks like Summary or Experience relative to each other). Use the Duplicate icon on a work-experience entry to clone it as a starting point for a near-identical role, and the trash icon to delete an entry you no longer need.

features

Type a name in the field above the Save button and click Save (it becomes Update once you're editing an existing version) to store that version under the Saved resumes list. From that list, click a saved resume to load it, the Duplicate icon to clone it as a new starting point, or the trash icon to delete it — and use 'Start a new resume' to clear the working copy back to a blank template without touching any saved versions.

features

No AI writes your resume here — you stay in control of every word. The builder focuses on what actually gets interviews: an ATS-safe single-column layout, real text instead of graphics, and inline hints such as leading bullets with action verbs and mirroring keywords from the job posting. Your content, professionally formatted, with a live preview as you type.

features

There is no login or account. Resume versions are saved on this device in your browser, so reopening the page in the same browser restores them — use 'Save this resume' to keep multiple named versions. Because storage is device-local, a different computer or a cleared browser will not have them, so keep the downloaded PDF or DOCX as your portable copy.

Switch Download format to DOCX for job boards and applicant-tracking portals that require an editable Word file instead of a PDF, generated from the exact same data and layout.
