Stop browsing every statement image to find one payment reference
Organize photographed or scanned-image statement pages into one searchable reference document. OCR is selected initially, helping you look for recognized payment references while keeping the source pages visible for checking.
A searchable personal statement archive
Keep related page images in order and test reference searches, retaining the original records for any important verification.
Supporting pages for manual reconciliation
Prepare a document you can browse alongside a ledger, using OCR search as a navigation aid and the visible page as the reference.
Keep statement pages ordered and verify a known search term
- Select the statement images and confirm their page numbers and period order.
- Keep OCR enabled, set the statement language and review the paper layout.
- Export and search a known reference; compare copied amounts and signs with the original page.
Statement authenticity, amount searches and existing PDFs
- Can this add OCR to a bank statement that is already a PDF?
- This workflow accepts statement images, not existing PDF files. Use your original bank PDF when it already contains searchable text.
- Does a searchable statement PDF authenticate the statement?
- No. Converting images or adding OCR does not verify their origin, completeness or financial accuracy.
- Can I search for transaction amounts after conversion?
- Recognized amounts may be searchable, but punctuation and spacing can vary. Check the visible statement whenever a financial value matters.
- Should I choose statement PDF, Excel or CSV?
- Choose PDF to retain page appearance and browse recognized text. Choose Excel for worksheet review or CSV for a separately validated transaction import.
- Which paper size should a US bank statement use?
- Choose Letter in Paper size. The page opens on A4, which is 210 by 297 mm, while a US statement is printed on 8.5 by 11 inch paper. Each page picture is scaled to fit and centered either way, but Letter matches the paper and avoids extra white space at the sides.
- Do I have to sign in to make a searchable statement PDF?
- Searchable mode is a document export: Premium or credits are required. Switching to Create a normal PDF builds the same pages without the text layer and does not use that export step.
- What happens to a statement page the reader cannot recognize?
- The page stays in the PDF as an image-only page, and the tool tells you how many pages could not be recognized. Retake that page with sharper focus and even light, replace it in the Pages list and build the file again.
- Can I add a cover page or a note before the statement pages?
- Add a photo or screenshot of the note and move its row to the top of the Pages list. Each image becomes one page, so a typed cover sheet saved as an image works as page one, and the order of the list is the order of the finished document.
- Do my pages stay in the list if I change the paper size afterwards?
- Yes. Changing the paper size, orientation, margins or filename clears the finished PDF but keeps your pages. Select the build button again to make a new file with the new layout, and check the result before you share it.
- Should each month go in its own PDF?
- One PDF per statement period keeps search results easy to trace, and the Output filename field lets you name each file. Several months in one document work as well: add the pages in date order and search for a month name or a reference to jump between them.
