It returns markers for the visible brick faces it identifies. Review each marker; hidden bricks are not directly counted. Multiplying one reviewed face by a known uniform depth gives an estimate, while separate face photos provide a better audit trail.

Upload the photo and choose Count. Auto mode uses the selected item name; review every marker and correct the tally. For a guided recount, open Examples and mark one complete, clear bricks, with up to three examples for different-looking kinds.

Shoot front-on in daylight and fill the frame with the stack. Dust, mixed rubble and extreme angles reduce accuracy, so review each marker and correct the tally or take a clearer photo when a brick is missed or duplicated.

For a stack, choose Auto or Similar items, open Examples and mark 1 to 3 complete, clear brick faces (one per masonry type you want counted), then choose Count. Review every marker because rubble, block faces and partial bricks can still cause mistakes. When bricks are fully visible with gaps, Detect objects needs no examples and draws a box around each separated item.

Raise the Sensitivity slider when shadowed brick faces appear to be missed. If loose debris or broken half-bricks inflate the count, try Ignore small detections outside Similar items mode. Both controls can remove real items or retain clutter, so compare the markers with the physical stack and correct the tally.

Set the Result overlay to Dots only so each retained brick detection gets an individual marker you can compare against the physical stack. Correct misses or duplicates before using the tally; Heatmap can help identify dense areas that need closer review.

Open Bulk audit and every visible stack face is counted with the Distinct objects detector. Review every marker and add corrected results to clearly labelled tally rows so overlapping faces are not counted twice. For one masonry type, run an example-guided pass in Single photo mode with your own marked examples, and treat multiplication from one visible face as an estimate, not a verified physical total.

Adding a count to the Tally sheet and exporting it as CSV needs no account. The branded PDF report and Bulk audit — counting every pallet photo from a delivery in one go — are Premium features.

No — Bulk audit always runs the Distinct objects detector across the queue, carrying your detector settings but never your examples. A brick you manually mark in Single photo mode is specific to that image and is never reused in another photo, which is why example-guided Auto or Similar items counting works one photo at a time. Mark examples on an individual photo when you need one masonry type.

Yes — sign in and check Saved stock-takes to see every count you've saved. Tap 'Open in tally' to load one back into the Tally sheet, or delete it from the list once the delivery is checked off.

Yes — on the single-photo screen (not Bulk audit) a 'Take a photo' button opens your phone's rear camera directly so you can shoot the stack or pallet on site. It only appears in single-photo mode; Bulk audit expects you to upload several existing photos instead.

Temporary uploaded and generated files are processed securely and deleted automatically.

Almost always one of three things. The file is over the 20 MB free upload limit — Premium takes 50 MB and Pro 120 MB. The format is not one this tool accepts, so check the list shown on the upload panel. Or the file is not really the format its name says: renaming a file does not change what is inside it, and that is the reason a valid-looking image gets refused.

It reports what is genuinely in the file, so a blank or surprising result usually means the data was never there — stripped by the app that last saved it, removed by a platform on upload, or absent from the original. Try the untouched original file straight from the camera or source rather than a copy that has been through a messaging app.
