Yes. Tick "Flatten (make fields non-editable)" in the Output tab and every filled field is baked into the page, preventing recipients from accidentally changing the values. Use it for final-version contracts and tax submissions where the form must be locked.

After the form fields are detected, an Output filename field appears in the Output panel pre-filled as "yourfile-filled.pdf". Edit it to whatever name you need — useful for keeping a consistent naming convention like "lastname-application-filled.pdf" when submitting forms to HR, schools or government portals.

Fill in every detected field first (text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns and radio groups all appear automatically), set a clear Output filename so the recipient can identify it, and turn on Flatten only once you're done editing — flattening locks the values into the page so they can't be accidentally changed after you send it. Skip flattening if you expect to reopen and adjust the same PDF later.

The tool reads each field's actual AcroForm type from the PDF: dropdown and list fields render as a select box populated with the exact options the form author defined, and radio groups render as individual radio buttons for each option. This keeps your answers restricted to values the form actually accepts, so you can't accidentally type something the form wasn't built to hold.

PDF forms occasionally contain field kinds this tool can't render an editable control for in the browser — most often digital signature fields, button/JavaScript fields, or barcode fields. Those show 'Unsupported field type' in the Fields panel and are left untouched in the output, while every text box, checkbox, dropdown, list and radio group next to it still fills and downloads normally. For those specific fields, open the filled PDF in Acrobat or Preview to complete them, or use Flatten to lock everything else first.

Yes. Flatten locks in whatever values are currently in each field — including blanks — so any field you didn't type into is baked in as empty. If a field must be answered before you flatten, fill it first; once flattened there is no way to edit that value again in this tool, so leave Flatten off if you plan to finish the rest of the form in Acrobat afterward.

Almost always one of three things. The file is over the 20 MB free upload limit — Premium takes 50 MB and Pro 120 MB. The format is not one this tool accepts, so check the list shown on the upload panel. Or the file is not really the format its name says: renaming a file does not change what is inside it, and that is the reason a valid-looking PDF gets refused.

Page content is preserved, but anything that depended on the original file being interactive can behave differently — form fields, layers and annotations may be flattened into the page depending on the operation you ran. If you need the fields to stay fillable, do the flattening step last. Keep the untouched original until you have checked the output end to end.

No. This is a form filler, not a free fillable PDF converter. It completes fields that already exist and cannot convert PDF to fillable PDF online by creating new fields in a flat document. If your PDF has none, type directly on the page with Annotate PDF or PDF Editor, or ask whoever made the form for the fillable version.

The PDF is probably a flat document, such as a scan, a printout saved as PDF or a page with drawn boxes and no interactive fields. The tool only detects real form fields. Use Annotate PDF to type on the page instead.

Yes. Open Fill PDF Forms in your phone browser, upload the fillable PDF and complete the detected fields in the Fields list. Select Fill my form and download the result. The fields appear as a simple list, so you do not need to zoom into small boxes on the page.

Yes. Leave Flatten unticked, fill what you can and download the PDF. The values stay in its fields, so you can upload that file again later, continue, and flatten once the form is complete. Flattened values cannot be edited again.
