Error correction adds redundant data so a scanner can still read the code even if part of it is dirty, scratched or covered — L recovers about 7%, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. Use M for everyday links and text, and step up to Q or H if the code will be printed small, handled a lot, or has a logo covering part of it.

Upload an image in the Logo tab and it appears in a band above the code, scaled down to fit when it is large. The logo never covers the code's data cells, so it does not reduce scannability. It is part of the PNG only: the SVG export holds the code alone.

Drag the Size slider between 128px and 512px in 32px steps — larger sizes stay sharp on posters and signage, smaller ones keep the PNG lightweight for web use. If you need an even bigger print size, download the SVG instead, which scales to any dimension with zero quality loss regardless of the slider.

The logo sits in a band above the code and never covers it, so keep foreground/background colors high-contrast, step Error Correction up for codes that will be printed small or handled a lot, and size the code to at least 384px if it will be printed. Always test-scan the result with your own phone before publishing it.

Switch the type selector to UPI Payment, then pick a Payment Address Type — UPI ID / VPA, Bank Account Number (with the required IFSC Code), Aadhaar Number, or Mobile Number — and enter that address. This is the Encryption field inside the Wi-Fi type, and it must match your router's actual security setting or phones will read the code but fail to connect. Pick WPA for the vast majority of modern home and office routers (covers WPA/WPA2/WPA3), WEP only for old legacy hardware, and 'No password' for a fully open network such as a public cafe hotspot. When unsure, check your router's admin page or the security type shown when you connect manually.

Low contrast, a small print size and data that is too dense are the usual causes. Keep the foreground clearly darker than the background, print the code larger, and shorten the link or text so the squares get bigger. Test the printed copy, and raise Error Correction only if the surface may get scuffed, because it makes the pattern denser.

Some scanners treat an address without a scheme as plain text. The code stores exactly what you typed, and the URL type trims spaces but does not add https:// for you. Enter the full address, such as https://example.com, and scan the preview again.

The PNG is always drawn on a solid background in the Background color you choose, so it has no transparent areas. To match a colored surface, set Background to that color. A plain background also scans more reliably than busy artwork behind the code.

The preview shows an error message instead of a code. A QR code holds a limited amount of data, and lower Error Correction levels hold more. Shorten the text, try level L, or put the long content on a web page and encode its short link. The Info tab shows a character count for text.

Yes. The network name, encryption type and password are stored in the code as plain text, so anyone who can scan it can read them or join the network. Show a Wi-Fi code only where you would be comfortable sharing the password itself, and change the router password if the code went further than you meant. While you are signed in, a downloaded PNG of the code is also saved privately to My Work.

Yes, with two separate types. SMS takes a Phone and a Message and uses the SMSTO format, so the phone can open a message already filled in. The Phone type takes a Phone number and encodes a tel: link, so scanning offers to call it. Scanner apps differ a little, so test with the phones your audience uses.
