Emailing a PNG as a JPG without a white box or blurry text

Screenshots, email signature logos and design exports usually reach you as PNG. Turning one into a JPG attachment cuts its size, but the PNG's transparent areas cannot come along: JPG has no see-through pixels, so the converter paints them white unless you choose another color under Background fill.

That fill matters most for logos and cut-out product shots. A white-filled logo looks fine in a light inbox, yet a reader whose mail app uses a dark theme may see it sitting inside a white rectangle. If the logo has to work on any background, send the original PNG instead; if it only needs to be readable, choose a fill that matches your letterhead or brand color.

For a screenshot full of text, leave quality at 90 or higher. At that level the converter keeps color at full resolution along sharp edges, so red error messages and blue links stay legible; lower settings store color more coarsely and can smear thin colored lettering. When the JPG is still too heavy for a form that caps attachments, aim for an exact figure such as 500 KB, or gather several screenshots into one PDF so the recipient opens a single file.
