About the Facings Counter
The facings counter works from the 1–3 example facings you mark — one per different-looking kind — filters low-confidence repeat candidates, and marks retained results for review. Frequently asked questions
- How do I count a whole shelf accurately?
- Shoot each shelf face straight-on in even light, count the visible front row, and multiply by the row depth if the shelf is uniformly stocked — or photograph each row. The tally sheet adds shelf-by-shelf rows into one total.
- Does it check the planogram as well as count?
- No. It counts the facings you mark and puts a dot on each one so you can review them. Comparing that tally against the planogram is your step, and the tally sheet keeps a labelled row per shelf so the write-up stays traceable.
- What if the photo has more than just facings in it?
- Your marked examples tell the counter exactly what to count. Drag a tight box around one complete, clearly visible facings — up to 3 examples for different-looking kinds — and only matching items are counted. Similar-looking distractors can still affect the result, so review every marker before using the total.
- Can I count several photos into one total?
- Yes — count each photo with its own marked examples, and add every result to the tally sheet as a labelled row. A marked example belongs to the photo it was drawn on, so mark each photo as you go. Export the tally as CSV or a PDF report, or save it to your account.
- Is it free and private?
- Yes. You can count, review and download a free result without an account. Downloads are free without a watermark. No signup required. Server-processed photos are encrypted in transit and removed under our Security policy.
