How to change the background of a picture online with a photo, color or design

Use a gradient or a library design as the backdrop

- Look at hair and edges after the cutout, and use Refine edges if a fringe of the old background shows.
- Add a Shadow if the subject looks like it is floating.
Other ways to handle the new background
Marketplaces that ask for a plain backdrop are better served by a pure-white #FFFFFF product background, while a portrait can get a studio, office or garden backdrop generated with AI. If no backdrop is wanted at all, keep the subject on a transparent PNG, and once the new scene is in place, frame the picture with a solid or gradient border.
