Generative output can vary; review the full result before publishing
A bare yard gives the imagination nothing to hold — homeowners stare at grass and cannot place a single bed, so nothing gets planted for another season. This direction designs the garden on your actual yard photo: planting beds, paths, and lawn shapes rendered with realistic greenery in your real boundaries and light, so the plan exists before the first spade does.

Laying out beds and a lawn shape on the yard you see from the house
Start with the lawn shape, because beds are what is left around it. A circle or a rounded rectangle of lawn with planting around the edge reads very differently from straight borders along every fence. Put the lawn shape in your instruction first, then the beds: 'oval lawn in the center, deep beds along both side fences, a small tree in the far corner'.
Photograph from the back door or the kitchen window, the view you see most days. Mid-morning light shows shadows from the fence and trees, which tells you where sun-loving planting will struggle. Check the result for beds placed in deep shade that are full of flowers, and for paving or edging that floats above the lawn.
When the structure is settled, try a different flower color on a version you like before buying plants. A yard that is mostly seen from the street suits the front yard page better. For deeper notes on writing a planting structure, the garden design page covers paths, edging and height layers.

Frequently asked questions
- Will the design respect my actual yard boundaries?
- The design is rendered on your photo and the prompt asks the AI to keep fences, walls, and existing trees where they are, so the concept works within them — check that nothing moved. Verify measurements on the ground before ordering plants or hardscape.
- Can it show what the garden looks like once plants mature?
- It renders a realistic planted look rather than a botanical timeline — use it to decide layout, structure, and palette. A nursery or garden designer can then match real species to the concept and your climate.
- What should I review in a Garden result?
- Inspect faces, hands, object geometry, small details, perspective, readable marks, and any claim implied by the scene. Regenerate or reduce the requested change when something is inaccurate.
- What rights checks apply to a Garden client project?
- Use only source material and references you have rights to, follow the destination platform rules, and obtain any required person or property permissions. Generated output still needs a human accuracy and rights review.
