PSB to PNG with transparency from large Photoshop documents

PNG is the right output when a large Photoshop document has transparent areas you need to keep, such as a cut-out product composite, a wide banner with a shaped edge or artwork for a print-on-demand template. The converter takes the flattened composite saved inside the PSB, transparency included, so the PNG shows the canvas as Photoshop last saved it with every visible layer combined.

Use the transparency preview to check the result: Grid puts a checkerboard behind transparent pixels, and Website shows the image on a plain page the way a site would. Soft shadows and feathered edges stay partially transparent, because PNG supports smooth transparency.

PSB canvases are big, so the PNG can be very large, and documents past the converter's pixel limit are turned away; a reduced copy saved from Photoshop is often the practical input, and a copy saved as PSD goes to the PSD to PNG page. For the web, resize the PNG to the width you need and convert it to WebP, which keeps transparency in a smaller file. If the document is CMYK for print, compare the colors with Photoshop's view before using the file on screen.
