Rug Furniture Visualizer
Generative output can vary; review the full result before publishing
Rugs are among the most mis-sized purchases in decorating — bought small, floating sad between furniture. This direction places the described rug in your room photo at believable scale with the front-legs-on rule visible: size, pattern density, and palette judged against your actual sofa and floor before the roll ships.

Testing rug size and pattern under the furniture you already own
A rug is judged by how much of the seating it holds, so the photo needs the whole group in frame: sofa, chairs and table, plus some bare floor around them. Shoot from standing height so the floor reads as a plane rather than a sliver.
Describe size by what it should hold, not by dimensions the AI cannot verify: "rug large enough that the front legs of the sofa and both armchairs rest on it, a strip of floor visible near the wall". Then describe the pattern by scale and color; "wide faded stripes in rust and cream" comes out more predictably than a design name. Pattern scale is what a listing photo cannot show and what your own photo can, so try a bold version and a quiet one.
Check that furniture legs sit on top of the rug rather than sinking into it, that the pattern follows the floor's perspective, and that the floor around the rug kept its original boards or tiles. A layered look calls for a bohemian scheme built with several rugs, and for the table that sits on top, see coffee table shapes against the rug.

Frequently asked questions
- What size rug does my seating area need?
- Large enough that all front furniture legs sit on it — the preview shows the rule against your actual pieces. Rugs that float unanchored shrink the whole room; this is the mistake the visualization exists to prevent.
- How do I judge pattern scale from a listing?
- You cannot — pattern reads completely differently at room size, which is the preview's job. Bold patterns calm down at scale; small motifs turn to static. See it on your floor first.
- What should I review in a Rug result?
- Inspect faces, hands, object geometry, small details, perspective, readable marks, and any claim implied by the scene. Regenerate or reduce the requested change when something is inaccurate.
- What rights checks apply to a Rug client project?
- Use only source material and references you have rights to, follow the destination platform rules, and obtain any required person or property permissions. Generated output still needs a human accuracy and rights review.
