Why convert EPS to PDF?

  • Every page of the EPS becomes a page in the PDF, in the same order.
  • Text and shapes stay vectors, so the PDF stays sharp at any zoom and prints crisply.
  • Text stays selectable and searchable, so you can copy it or find a word.
  • PDF is supported far more widely than EPS, so the file is easier to open, share and upload.
  • No Illustrator needed: the file is opened on our servers and you download a ready-to-use PDF.

What to expect when converting EPS to PDF

  • Fonts that aren’t embedded in the file are replaced with close equivalents of the same size and spacing.
  • The PDF page is cropped to the artwork, without extra margins.

In short: choose EPS for sending logos and artwork to printers and sign makers; choose PDF for sharing, printing and archiving complete documents.

Converting EPS artwork to a vector PDF

PDF has replaced EPS in most print and office workflows: print shops accept it, office apps can place it and anyone can open it in a browser. This conversion keeps the artwork as vectors, so logos and line art stay crisp when zoomed and when printed large. The page is trimmed to the bounding box stored in the EPS, so the PDF has the dimensions of the artwork instead of a full sheet.

Because the page matches the artwork, a 2-inch logo becomes a 2-inch PDF page. That suits placing it into a layout or sending it to a sign maker, but if you want the logo printed on a letter-size sheet, place the PDF into a document rather than printing the page on its own. Lettering that is neither embedded nor converted to outlines is swapped for a similar typeface, so when the words are part of the logo, ask the designer for an outlined version.

From the PDF you can go further: render it as a high-resolution PNG at up to 300 DPI for slides and websites, or bundle it with other PDFs into one brand pack. For a quick picture to paste into a chat, the EPS to JPG page is the shorter route.
